Sonam's make up and hair style on Day 1 IIFA 09 – Fab or Drab?

I don’t quite know what went wrong with Sonam’s make up and hair style while she dons this Manish Arora dress. It’s wonderful play of colors and it would accentuate Sonam’s lively disposition. The pink pumps go well too. She could have tried less make up, pink or red lip stain for her lips and make up with a subtle touch of gold. I don’t like that straight hair either, rather it does not go well with the mood of the dress. The hair could have been styled to suit the fun type of dress she wears, light and billowy and not solemn and straight. I guess she will do good in the coming days.

Hook Ya Crook to Wrap up Soon

According to UTV sources, the film is expected to release later this year itself. The leading stars of Hook Ya Crook are John Abraham, Genelia D'Souza, Kay Kay Menon, Shreyas Talpade and Sharad Kapoor.

Riteish Deshmukh confirms presence in ‘Kal Kissne Dekha’

The cat is out of the bag. Today’s release ‘Kal Kissne Dekha’ would have Riteish Deshmukh essaying the role of an underworld don. In an extended guest appearance, Riteish would also be seen donning different get up in each of his scenes and would add to the fun quotient of the film.

Informs a source who had a dekko at the film, “The makers have so far kept this as a secret but the fact is that Riteish has a substantial role in the film. Of course Jackky Bhagnani is the film’s lead but Riteish too has a fantastic role of an underworld don.”

Elaborating more on Riteish’s presence in the film, she adds, “His character is that of someone who is fun loving. He keeps making on and off appearance in the film and brings in a different dimension to the narrative each time around. He is someone who is pretty money minded.”

Vashu Bhagnani, producer of ‘Kal Kissne Dekha’, too confirms around Riteish’s presence and says, “Yes, Riteish has an extended guest appearance in the film but that’s all I can say for now. Anything more would spoil the fun.”

On contacted, the man in picture - Riteish Deshmukh - was initially hesitant to talk about the film.

“I am not too sure how much should I be revealing about my role in the film. I don’t know if you can call it a special appearance or an extended guest appearance or anything of that sort. I am yet to see the final cut of how much of me is actually present in the film”, he says.

On being prodded further, he reluctantly adds, “This character was primarily conceived by my director Vivek Sharma and I primarily followed his vision. Whatever I have done in the movie, it is completely as per Vivek’s instructions. I merely copied him.” - Joginder Tuteja / Sampurn Media

Why is Sonam Kapoor trying to snub Aishwarya Rai?

Sonam Kapoor is terribly upset with Aishwarya Bachchan as the latter stood as a roadblock to her walking the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival. Sonam who had been signed as a brand ambassador for L'Oreal and was to walk the red carpet a Cannes with other beauties including Aishwarya, Penelope Cruz, Kerry Washington, Beyonce Knowles, Eva Longoria and Scarlett Johansson.

The excited Sonam in an interview dug her own grave when she offended Aishwarya. Sonam had said would be endorsing the youth brand and Aishwarya would appeal to the older women. This certainly did not go down too well with the former Miss World who has been a face of L'Oreal in India for years. Ash refused to walk the red carpet with Sonam and the L'Oreal had to bow down before her demands.

L'Oreal on its part maintained that Sonam's comments had created a lot of adverse effect and to prevent any escalation of the controversy they had asked the Saawariya actress to stay out of Cannes. Well it can be easily understood on whose request Sonam missed a ticket to the Cannes. As for Sonam she surely will never let her excitement get over her mind in future.

Katrina Kaif in Karan Johar’s DOSTANA 2

Stunning Katrina Kaif has left her lover seeing green as she will be seen canoodling with Sallu’s arch-enemy Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham. Yup, you are guessing right, having nudged out Priyanka Chopra, Katrina is all set to star in Karan Johar’s DOSTANA 2.

Well coming to think of it, Priyanka Chopra is out of the picture, literally speaking, as she waltzed off into the sunset with Bobby Deol in DOSTANA. That brought her track to a shuddering halt, making way for dashing Abraham-Bachchan duo to chase a new actress in the money-spinner sequel.

According to sources, “Karan Johar considered casting Priyanka in Dostana 2 , but she falls in love with Bobby Deol in the first film. Karan has finally zeroed in on Katrina. He has cast Abhay Deol, Ritesh Deshmukh and Shreyas Talpade as well. There is a possibility of Shreyas and Ritesh doing the gay act for the film.

Barbara Mori surprised by fuss over her kiss

Mexican babe Barbara Mori is surprised that her on-screen lip lock with Hrithik Roshan in the movie Kites has become a talk of the town. The actress is amused as to why so much of fuss is being made about a kiss in a romantic movie. The movie revolves around an Indian salsa dancer played by Hrithik who falls for a Mexican girl played by Barbara.

Barbara Mori has incidentally created a lot of buzz in Bollywood in the past couple of months over her alleged affair with Hrithik Roshan. Rumors had it that Hrithik's wife Susanne had left home after being upset with hubby's extra-marital affair with the Mexican babe. This was later turned down by the couple who claimed to be still together. Barbara comes from a totally different culture where kissing is as common as handshakes and is finding it difficult to understand the Indian culture. The actress should have been informed that a decade or so ago even a lip to lip kiss was censored from public viewing. A generation of Bollywood lovers grew up watching two red roses meeting instead of two lips. Well Barbara if you want to work in Bollywood better get acclimatised to the Indian culture and mentality!
